When you arrive at FCMC, please report to the Information desk area located in the main lobby.
A member of our Patient Registration staff will ask you important information for our hospital records and for submission of your hospital bill to your insurance company. Please bring your insurance information and any paperwork given to you by your physician including the physician orders. Getting Settled in Your Room
We make every effort to provide accommodations that are comfortable. Sometimes alternate arrangements may be made due to the availability of rooms or physician's orders.
Your nursing care is provided by a staff of professionally trained nurses and nursing aides. A nurse call button is located on your television remote in your bed if you should need assistance. Pastoral Care
During your admission process, information is requested regarding your religion, church, pastor, or rabbi. With your permission , your church is notified so that your minister may visit. If you are not associated with any particular church, you may request a visit from one of our volunteer clergy who represent many denominations. A clergy member is available 24 hours a day to assist patients and family members in times of stress due to illness. You may contact volunteer clergy member:

Our patient advocate representative is here to help you with questions or concerns you may have. You can reach Leanne Pollock, Patient Advocate representative, by calling 485-6119 or by calling in-house ext. 6119. Telephones
To facilitate in-coming calls, family members, friends and the potential callers should be given the phone number in your room. For making calls from your room, dial "9" and the telephone number. For long distance calls, dial "9+ 0" for operator assistance. If you have any problems with your telephone, please ask the nurse for assistance. There are payphones located in the main lobby and the Emergency Services entrances. Internet and WIFI
During your stay at FCMC you may utilize our wireless network. Please call the Help Desk at 6123 to get set up on our guest network. Call Bell
Call Bells are located at each patient's bedside. A two-way speaker system is installed in every patient room. Mail/Flowers
Any mail or flowers you receive are delivered to your room. Mail after discharge is forwarded to your address. Snacks
Vending machines are located by the visitor guest dining area. ATM Machine
An ATM machine is located in the main lobby just inside the entrance. Visitor Guidelines
FCMC has an open visitation policy. Justified clinical restrictions may be imposed. Justified clinical restrictions means any clinically necessary or reasonable restriction or limitation imposed by the Hospital on a patient's visitation rights when restriction or limitation is necessary to provide safe care to the patient or patients. A Justified Clinical Restriction may include, but need not be limited to, one or more of the following:
- A court order limiting or restraining contact;
- Behavior presenting a direct risk or threat to the patient, Hospital staff or others in the immediate environment;
- Behavior disruptive of the functioning of the patient care unit;
- Reasonable limitations on the number of visitors at any one time;
- Patient's risk of infection by the visitor;
- Visitor's risk of infection by the patient;
- Extraordinary protections because of a pandemic or infectious disease outbreak;
- Patient's need to privacy or rest;
- Need for privacy or rest by another individual in the patient's shared room;
- When the patient is undergoing a clinical intervention or procedure and the treating health care professional believes it is in the patient's best interest to limit visitation during the clinical intervention or procedure.
Please understand that you are responsible for all personal items brought to the hospital with you. FCMC cannot assume responsibility for the loss or damage of any personal item. Eye glasses, contact lenses, hearing aides, and dentures are easy to misplace or break. When not in use, please place them in a protective container. Any valuables such as jewelry, large sums of money, and credit cards brought to the hospital may be placed in the hospital safe and will be returned to you upon discharge, the nursing staff can help make these arrangements. FCMC is a SMOKE FREE campus. No smoking is permitted at anytime on the campus. Medications
Your doctor must approve any medication you bring from home. Please make a list of all prescription and non-prescription drugs you are currently taking and give it to your nurse when your arrive. If you have allergies, please mention them to your nurse. Patient Education
One way we help patients to cope better and recover from an illness is through patient and family education. Instruction and information are offered on an individual basis by our nursing staff. Families or those close to the patient are encouraged to participate in the programs. Gift Shop

Your physician shall arrange for your release from the hospital. Before you leave, please double check to make sure that you have all your belongings with you.
An escort will take you to the Main Entrance and remain with you until your transportation arrives. If friends or relatives are picking you up by car, please ask them to park in the Visitors' Parking Lot until you are ready to leave the hospital. Cars may not be left unattended in front of the Main Lobby for more than 15 minutes. Meal Services
Diet and nutrition are key components to your good health. Our menu is designed to meet the Recommended Dietary Allowances (RDA) for your daily nutrient requirements. Scheduled meal times are as follows:
Breakfast - 8:00 A.M.
Lunch - 12:00 P.M.
Dinner - 5:00 P.M.
