Administrative Secretary
Position Summary: Primary duties include but are not limited to: performs patient/staff scheduling for all home health service areas and various administrative tasks relevant to the department. Answers and directs phone calls, mail, and messages, filing/scanning into patient EMR system, intake of new home health referrals, maintains medical records, inventories and orders office supplies, assists with data collection for quality reporting requirements, and works closely with the Utilization Review department for insurance verification of home health orders. Assist with medical coding as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS AND STANDARDS
Education: High School diploma or equivalent required
Experience: Two (2) years’ experience in an administrative/secretarial role in a healthcare environment to have basic knowledge of medical terminology; experience doing medical billing/coding desired
